While I'm Rendering....

So here's what I've been playing around with while tests images of the next set are rendering. Now many moons ago, somebody said "Naruto is awesome" and I should do a set based on it. At the time I think my response was something along the lines of "Naruto SUX! It r lame chibi ninjoos!". Course immediately afterwards I realized that I had only vaguely seen some Naruto stuff on YouTube, and I couldn't say with certainty that it sucked. So in order to maintain a well-informed opinion, I sat down and started to read the manga online. And well... it weren't bad. It is actually pretty damn good. So to the person that said that - you were right, Naruto is awesome.

And on the topic of manga, I spent a bit of time during my funk reading some stuff online. A few of the more interesting ones I came across are...

Nozoki Ana - Also known as "Peephole". It's weird but awesome. Premise is a guy has a cute crazy neighbor and somehow gets himself blackmailed for peeping (kinda). This is all in the first chapter so I'm not spoiling anything for you here. Like most manga it does require a slight suspension of disbelief at the spineless idiocy of some of the characters, but it's all good. Art is consistently fantastic. Writing is really great. And the drama weirdness is fun. And tons of nudity and sex. And the female lead is just... wow. Just crazy, messed up, and awesome all in one package. Absolutely worth the read.

Suzuka - Ok, not alot of sex or nudity in this one. It's more of a romance manga. Yeah yeah, blow me. Still it's actually pretty good. Fairly formulaic with high-school slice of life stuff, love triangles, "tsundere" chicks, and all that shit. But the ending was top-notch. Totally unexpected. And that's what I'm basing the recommendation for one this on. It's not "ZOMG fantastic!" by any means. But the art is decent and it can be a fun weekend read if you got nothing better to do. Apparently they also made an anime out of it. Never watched it, so no idea how closely it follows or if it's any good.

Toshiue no Hito - Which loosely translates into "older girlfriend" or something like that. I don't know, I'm American. I only speak the language George Washington himself invented - English. In any case, this is another good one. Good art, tons of sex. Starts off a bit weird. To be honest, I almost passed on it while reading thru the first chapter. But it gets alot better. More of the typical romance, love triangle type stuff. But this takes it to a slightly more mature level (as if a porn comic can really be considered mature, but w/e). The manga does border a bit on lolicon, which turned me off initially. But the character is written well enough that you look past that. Really is quality stuff!

Sundome - And last but not least, Sundome. I don't even know how to describe this one. It's just all sorts of weird. At first glance, I tossed this one in the garbage pile (or the interwebz equivalent). But after complete boredom and nothing left to read I ended up taking another look. The art is... well... some parts are just terrible at first. But it grows on you. It's a stylistic thing for the comedy scenes. And after awhile it actually works. In other parts, the art is incredibly mind-blowingly awesome. As for the story itself. It's just fucking nuts. All sorts of crazy weird-ass fetishes. You can't really relate to the protagonist, but the shit that he goes thru is still weirdly entertaining. The girl is insanely wicked and funny (you end up liking her more than the guy). And in the end, the main character does kinda redeem himself into not being a complete and utter schmuck. This one is probably the most highly recommended on my list simply for the "Holy shit WTF?!" factor.

Greetings Mr. Bongo.
Hopefully this is the place to make suggestions.
Play League of Legends at all? Well, i'd love to see a set with Fiora and Warwick...

Not really a Naruto fan, but damn, I love me some Hinata.

I had never heard of League of Legends until you mentioned it. Not much into the WoW-style PvP, but looks like a pretty decent game system nonetheless.

And actually I had already been bouncing around some ideas for a duelist chick. Might use a few ideas from Fiora.

League of Legends is reasonably famous. It was the most profitable PC game of 2011, even though it's free to play. The community is pretty huge.
It's a team based strategy/fighting "control for the board" type of game. The learning curve is a bit steep and it can be very frustrating to be paired with bad players, but if you can get past that it's quite fun. Of course, it's best if you already have some friends to play with from the start. Try it out if you're interested.
The game has a pretty cool list of characters you could "pair" in your sets... Here's the aforementioned Fiora: http://lol.zones.gamebase.com.tw/skin_view/fiora and you can check others there as well.
Personally, i'm much more partial to the sets you do involving pre-existing franchises/characters and would love to see you tackle LoL(specially the Fiora/Warwick idea). Someone also mentioned another Wonder Woman set(with Krypto) in one of your other comment sections, being i DC fan, i think it's an awesome idea, or maybe something Castlevania related too, but that's besides the point here.
Anyways, thanks for your stuff so far and i look forward to seeing what you come up with next. Complements!

Hopefully tonite. It's been a real bitch so far, but has turned out fairly well. Just need to finish up postwork. Will hopefully be up tonite or early tomorrow morning.
